Fun Lovers Unite! is the second live music and comedy event dedicated to raising awareness and action for common-sense gun violence prevention efforts and the elected officials who stand up for the safety of our communities. The first event in Los Angeles featured Kurt Braunohler, Neil Hamburger, Tim Heidecker, Jenny Lewis, Sarah Silverman, Mike Watt & The Secondmen and many more. The event is being produced by friends Joshua Mills in Los Angeles and Maccabee Montandon in Brooklyn; they are both dads of young children who want to do more to prevent gun violence in America. Josh felt sickened and then galvanized following the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy in 2012. Mac’s brother, Asher, was murdered with a gun during an attempted robbery in Los Angeles in 1992.

The Brady Campaign To Prevent Gun Violence, united with the Million Mom March, is a national network of over 90 grassroots chapter affiliates mobilized to prevent gun violence at the community level. The network has played a vital role in expanding Brady background checks in the six states that have passed legislation since the shooting in Newtown, Connecticut and produced the largest national protest of gun violence in U.S. history – The Million Mom March, Mother’s Day 2000.
