KCRW CONFIRMED TO PRESENT INDEPENDENT PROJECT RECORDS 45TH ANNIVERSARY TWO-NIGHT LIVE SHOW EVENT ON NOVEMBER 5 & 6 AT GOLD-DIGGERS IN LOS ANGELES

 LOS ANGELES, CA (MONDAY OCTOBER 6, 2025) – Independent Project Records (IPR) announced today that beloved Los Angeles radio station KCRW will be presenting their two-night live show celebration in conjunction with the label’s 45th anniversary to take place on Wednesday, November 5 and Thursday, November 6 in Los Angeles at Gold-Diggers in Hollywood.

Additional acts and DJs just added to the bill include the label’s newest artist signing Driveway Ceiling, along with Tiki Oasis promoter DJ Otto Von Stroheim (Wednesday) in a DJ battle with IPR’s Bruce Licher and David J who will be doing an additional DJ set (Thursday) in addition to his live set that night as well. Previously confirmed IPR-associated artists include David J, Shiva Burlesque  (Grant-Lee Phillips and IPR co-owner Jeffrey Clark along with David J), Springhouse, Lanterna with guest guitarist Bruce Licher (founder of IPR along with the groups Savage Republic and Scenic), post punk/goth band Kommunity FK and Alison Clancy. More acts to be confirmed.

In addition to the artists mentioned, look forward to visual presentations, music videos from IPR bands, artwork, related films and even more on display throughout the venue. Everyone who buys a ticket to the 45th Anniversary event will receive a brand new, limited edition 7” vinyl single along with an IPR 45th Anniversary-themed 45 RPM adapter. Copies of IPR’s upcoming two-CD label sampler The Well will be available for purchase several weeks before street date along with other IPR merchandise. Fans buying the deluxe version of two-day package will receive three extremely limited edition test pressings of recent IPR vinyl which have never previously been made available to the public, along with a complimentary copy of The Well and other goodies.

Known for their unique musical sensibilities and extraordinary artwork & design, Independent Project Records is a favorite of record collectors and music fans alike for their bespoke packaging and attention to detail. Grammy-nominated founder Bruce Licher’s graphic design and his hand-letterpress packaging have been a mainstay in music circles since 1982’s Tragic Figures from Savage Republic. Since that time, the label has released seminal albums and singles from artists as diverse as Savage Republic, Alison’s Halo, Human Hands, Kommunity FK, Camper Van Beethoven, Scenic, For Against, Deception Bay, Half String, Autumnfair, The Dentists, Tone, Woo, Stereolab and more.

Since the label’s relaunch in 2020, IPR has released new music, lost albums, reissues with bonus tracks on digital, compact disc and vinyl formats for a variety of artists including A Produce, Afterimage, Alison Clancy, David J, Half String, Bruce Licher, Greg Lisher, Jeffrey Runnings, The Ophelias, Red Temple Spirits, Savage Republic, Scenic, Shiva Burlesque, Springhouse, Torn Boys, Woo and multiple various artist compilations. Coming up later this year and in 2026 are new titles from Woo, David J, Driveway Ceiling, and the official soundtrack album for the award-winning documentary film Louder Than You Think (A Lo-Fi History of Gary Young & Pavement).
