THE MOJO GURUS SPAGHETTI WESTERN THEMED MUSIC VIDEO FOR “BANDITO” MAKES EXCLUSIVE PREMIERE ON GUITAR WORLD.COM

Video Pays Homage To The Classic ‘60’s Films Made Famous By Clint Eastwood & Sergio Leone

LOS ANGELES, CA. (TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 30, 2014) – Rock ‘n Roll band The Mojo Gurus (www.mojogurus.com) recently filmed a video for the song “Bandito” from their Red River Entertainment/RED release Who Asked Ya? which made an exclusive premiere on Guitar World.com today. “Bandito”, an instrumental surf rock song with Tex-Mex horns fit for a Tarantino movie, can be see here: http://www.guitarworld.com/mojo-gurus-premiere-bandito-music-video-exclusive#slide-6

The video pays homage to the Clint Eastwood/Sergio Leone spaghetti western films of the 1960’s and was shot on location in Tampa Bay, FL. on a set of a television show. It’s a highly stylized video that emphasizes the bands roots rock approach to real rock n’ roll.

“The Mojo Gurus Lead Singer Kevin Steele and I first sat down to discuss the visual style of “Bandito” prior to production,” said Video Director Christian Moriarty. “Kevin then wrote a loose script that became the basis for the video. I had access to a western town and back lot location that added texture to the production. But it was Kevin who came up with the band’s look and wardrobe for the video .”

Moriarty, who’s credits include MTV, HBO, Playboy and WWE along with directing music videos for Roxx Gang, The Warren Brothers and Jackyl said, “A lot of credit goes to the band for coming up with their look and characters.”

The Mojo Gurus sound – described as high-octane energy  la ‘60’s rock and early roots rock with their ‘have-a-good-time-all-the-time’ vibe – is an infectious combination. In fact, Britain’s iconic Classic Rock magazine named “Where You Hidin’ Your Love” one of it’s Tracks Of The Week and said, “Who Asked Ya? is a fistful of full-throttle rock ‘n’ roll of the type Jack Douglas (who the band have worked with in the past) used to make with Aerosmith. Mmmm, greasy.”

The critically acclaimed Mojo Gurus have released three albums through E One Entertainment, worked with Grammy Award winning producer Jack
Douglas (John Lennon, Aerosmith), played with the likes of Joe Perry,
Johnny Winter, Blackberry Smoke, David Allan Coe and built their
reputation on their live performance. The Mojo Gurus are Kevin Steele
on lead vocals and harmonica, Doc Lovett on guitar and vocals, Vinnie
Granese on bass and vocals and Sean Doyle on drums and vocals.
