FURII RELEASES DEBUT FULL-LENGTH ALBUM PYROMANCY TODAY VIA NOMARK
11 Track Debut Album Featuring Single ILK and 10 Brand New Tunes
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
LOS ANGELES, CA (THURSDAY APRIL 30, 2026) – Amon Tobin’s record label Nomark announced today that the debut full-length album from Furii, entitled Pyromancy, is out today via all Digital Service Providers (DSPs). Furii (pronounced Fury) is the alias of Adrien Rodes AKA Topo Gigio and long-time member of Tim Smith’s Spratley’s and sometime musician in Cardiacs’ live band.
When Nomark released the 4-track Aphant EP in February 2026, there was a chorus of delight amongst fans and critics alike. Teased by the ILK single released 18 months earlier in 2024, the four new tunes from Furii were enthusiastically received. “Sounds like Flaming Lips if they lived in a musical box… Wonderful” wrote the electronica site Moonbuilding, The Organ Zine described the collection as “Beautiful” and “glorious” while The Strange Brew noted “Tracks that move between the seductive and the strange, with Spratley’s voice running through them like a second conscience.”
And that holds true for the new Pyromancy album too.
Adrien describes the process, “I decided to treat it as a fresh experiment and see what would happen. Writing tunes knowing Jo would take them somewhere else has been a real joy. I had vocal melodies on some of the songs, and she came up with brilliant ones on others. Her take has always elevated things beyond measure.”
From the easy grooves of “Permian,” the disconcerting pop of “Angle” and the classical orchestration of “Bark” through to instrumentals like “Radiolaria” and “Shallow,” where there is space in the complex weave for you to sing your own melodies, should you wish to, Adrien has taken the “fresh experiment” in a slew of different musical directions which delight and confound in equal measure.
With Pyromancy Furii have created a record filled to the brim with playful and precisely produced songs which cradle Jo’s extraordinary vocal performances allowing them to bloom like a bouquet of thorny roses.
