LOS ANGELES, CA. (THURSDAY MARCH 5, 2026) – Legendary punk-power-pop band The Furys, on the cusp of celebrating their 50th anniversary next year, announced today that a new single for the track, “Your Eyes” from their upcoming new album, Dime Novel, is set for release tomorrow via Arcane Alley Records on all DSPs and available here. A brand new video for “Your Eyes” is available here.
This is the seventh single since The Furys solidified their lineup behind founding member Jeff Wolfe which includes Dave Lewty (The Cheaters), Cliff Roman (The Weirdos), John Dimambro (Down By Law, Agent Orange, Pearl Harbor, Jane Wiedlin) and Paolo Dell’Olio. In celebration of this release, the band will perform tomorrow night, March 6th, at the Redwood Bar in downtown Los Angeles at 9:30 pm.
The group’s latest release “Your Eyes”, written by Wolfe and longest serving Furys member Dave Lewty, was recorded at Lewtyworks and Karen Basset (Pandoras) Studio. The song harkens to colleagues such as Gin Blossoms, Green Day, The Strokes and other great acts.
Since 2013, The Furys have been busy recording, releasing new material and playing live in and around Los Angeles. Radio airplay has come from SiriusXM’s Little Steven’s Underground Garage and Little Steven’s “Coolest Song in the World” for the tracks, “Hey Girl Goodbye” and “Sweet Connection”.
The Furys have received airplay all over the USA in both terrestrial and internet formats from California to New York and other states in between including Alaska and Hawaii. The Furys have been heard globally in the UK and Australia as well as France, Germany, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Canada, Luxembourg, Japan, Ghana, Nigeria, Indonesia, Turkey, Russia, Guatemala, Peru, Chile, Nairobi, India, Bosnia, Poland, Sweden, Finland, Norway and The Philippines.
The Furys are one of Southern California’s first New Wave/Powerpop bands and pioneers of the Southern California scene. Originally from Orange County (then Los Angeles), the band formed in 1976 and released their self-produced debut “Hey Ma” in 1977 on their own Double R Records and followed up with the 1978 international sensation, “Say Goodbye to the Black Sheep.” It was that same year the band made their live debut at the Whiskey-A-Go-Go & had the distinction of being the very first band to perform at the legendary L.A. punk club Madame Wong’s.
This cemented their vital role in the burgeoning LA scene of new music from other local bands including The Weirdos, The Zeros, The Last, The Alleycats, The Know, and many more. What’s more, The Plimsouls saw their first gigs as an opening act for The Furys. Another 7” record, “Moving Target” was released in 1979.
The band continued to record and perform live throughout the 1980s.
This lineup continued until 1987 with the release of the EMI/America mini album “Indoor/Outdoor”.
In 2012, the band reformed after garnering interest from fans. That interest led to The Furys recording new material in 2021 more of which will be released in a new album Dime Novel later this year. A full band timeline can be found here.
ABOUT THE FURYS
The Furys are a legendary Los Angeles band whose blend of punk energy, power-pop melody, and R&B roots helped shape the city’s early new wave scene. Formed in 1977, they earned a reputation for incendiary live shows and hook-heavy songs, becoming staples at iconic venues like Whisky a Go Go and The Starwood. Over decades, The Furys evolved, weathered changes, and returned stronger—never losing their sharp edge or melodic bite.
Today, The Furys are more vital than ever. Together, they deliver a sound that bridges eras—vintage in spirit, sharp in execution, and unmistakably alive. Their recent releases show a band at the height of its creative powers, with songs that punch as hard emotionally as they do sonically. The Furys aren’t just survivors of the scene—they’re authors of its next chapter.
