LOS ANGELES, CA (FRIDAY APRIL 24, 2015) –Stand Up! Records (www.standuprecords.com) and Comedians Keith Lowell Jensen (http://keithlowelljensen.blogspot.com) and Johnny Taylor (http://www.johnnyisntfunny.com) today confirmed tour dates for their third annual joint tour: The Special Snowflake Tour (www.specialsnowflaketour.com) with this one being filmed for a documentary.
Both comedians released new albums on Stand Up! Records in the past year and are touring in support of The Atheists Christmas (from Jensen) and Tangled Up in Plaid (from Taylor). Although they are both from Sacramento California ie: “Sactown”…which might be the worst knickname for any city in America, they couldn’t be more dissimilar in their material or routines, they go together like Gin & Juice. Sure they may bicker like an old married couple. But just because this all fits into a pretty little box, don’t think this is a mere marriage of convenience; they had to lest shotguns get involved.
Each comic has found a home performing in alternative venues instead of traditional comedy clubs. It’s a path followed by more bands than comedians actually. And like touring bands, the pair occasionally end up sleeping on the very stage where they just performed if there is no other place for them to crash. It’s this sort of masochistic dedication to comedy that pushes these special snowflakes to occasionally bunk up with ‘fans’ they’ve never met, sleeping in the odd guesthouse (or bunker), on couches and even the occasional youth hostel.
