FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
LOS ANGELES, CA (TUESDAY NOVEMBER 15, 2016) – Los Angeles rock band Louden Swain (www.loudenswain.com) confirmed today the release of their seventh full-length album, No Time Like The Present set for Friday January 13, 2017 via Omnivore Recordings.
Founded in 1997 by three graduates from Northwestern University, Louden Swain has maintained a fervent, grass roots fan base that has steadily grown through the years. Propelled by fans of The CW’s hit television show, Supernatural, which stars lead singer and actor Rob Benedict, the band also includes Michael Borja (bass), Stephen Norton (drums) & Billy Moran (guitar). It’s this loyal fan support that has allowed the band to maintained their D.I.Y. spirit without the benefit of a major label.

No Time Like the Present’s title reflects the sense of immediacy and positivity that runs through Louden Swain’s songs. A single incident in 2013 grounded the band’s momentum to a temporary halt. Lead singer Benedict—an actor with a resume that includes the films Waiting… and Kicking and Screaming and the TV series Felicity, Masters of Sex and Supernatural—unexpectedly suffered an ischemic stroke, throwing his future—and the band’s—into question. Thankfully by January 2014, he’d made a miraculous recovery and emerged with a passel of inspired new songs. Those tunes became the foundation of the widely acclaimed album Sky Alive, which demonstrated the band’s literal new lease of life and paved the way for No Time Like the Present.
