Live Set to Feature Songs from the New Album Contemporary Construction as well as 2020’s Shelter in Place and What Happened to Stephanie?

LOS ANGELES, CA (TUESDAY JUNE 29, 2021)Strictly Elizabeth confirmed today their first in-person show in more than 18 months with their  Los Angeles debut on Friday July 30 at the second stage of the Hotel Café. Doors 7:30pm, showtime 9pm and it’s 21+. Tickets can be purchased here: Tickets.

Strictly Elizabeth will be playing in support of their most recent May 28th release Contemporary Construction from Data Water Records and distributed via DashGo. Additionally, the band will be playing tracks off both their 2020’s Shelter in Place and the EP and award winning animated short, What Happened to Stephanie?

While the world was in quarantine during the COVID-19 lockdown, Strictly Elizabeth released two full-length albums, an EP, the animated short film that garnered attention and awards from independent film festivals in North America, shot multiple music videos including one for the song “Coretta” featuring a robot mural, performed live streaming sets online, and released multiple singles as part of the “Full Moon Series” all while writing and recording material for their next full length album. Finally, they can bring all this hard work into a traditional live setting with this LA debut.

Praise for the animated short film, What Happened to Stephanie? which was directed by Ciro Ayala of Provoke Films and written and produced by Jessica Elizabeth Davenport who conceptualized the film was staggering. This film has garnered it’s fifth award selection/win this year alone. The festivals included the Los Angeles Film Awards (Best Music Video), Venice Shorts Film Awards, Los Angeles Film & Script Festival (Best Animation), Los Angeles Rocks Film Festival (Best Animation & Best Editing), Hollywood New Directors (Honorable Mention) and the San Francisco Indie Short Festival.
