LOS ANGELES, CA (MONDAY MAY 18, 2015) – DENGUE FEVER (www.denguefevermusic.com), known for their exotic blend of Cambodian rock, Afro grooves, surf, and garage psych have confirmed their Summer, Fall and 2016 tour dates in support of their new album, The Deepest Lake.
Already this year, Dengue Fever has done tours of the West Coast, the Southwest, the Rockies and throughout Texas since the launch of their latest album that was released on their own label Tuk Tuk Records. It had been almost four years since the band released an album of new music that translated to pent up demand for tickets and often sold out shows on their first two tours. Since Dengue Fever announced the release of their latest album, The Deepest Lake (available on CD, colored vinyl and digitally) on Tuesday January 27, 2015 in North America (and February 2, 2015 in the rest of the world) the band has been extensively featured on NPR’s Weekend Edition, All Things Considered & Take Two, Magnet Magazine, Uncut, Mojo, Culture Collide & NMEamong many more outlets. Additionally, the band has premiered a video via Entertainment Weekly for the song “No Sudden Moves”, and the LA Weekly who said that “No Sudden Moves” combines an East-meets-West pop melody and Chhom’s haunting vocals with psychedelic rock, surf guitars and Afrobeat-inspired horns.” A new music video for the song, “Tokay” will be released in conjunction with the tour.

DENGUE FEVER is Cambodian songstress Chhom Nimol, Zac Holtzman (guitar/vocals), Ethan Holtzman (keyboards), Senon Williams (bass), Paul Smith (drums) and David Ralicke (horns). They have released five albums, Dengue Fever, Escape From Dragon House, Venus On Earth, Cannibal Courtship, In The Ley Lines, the DVD/CD soundtrack to the band’s documentary, Sleepwalking Through The Mekong, a collection of lost Cambodian classics, Dengue Fever Presents: Electric Cambodia and in 2015 The Deepest Lake.
