KCRW Confirmed to Present Record Release Show at The Echoplex in Los Angeles on February 5, Which Marks Debut of Burger Records ‘Best of’ Dengue Fever First-Ever Cassette

LOS ANGELES, CA (WEDNESDAY JANUARY 14, 2015) – DENGUE FEVER (www.denguefevermusic.com), whose exotic blend of Cambodian rock, Afro grooves, surf, and garage psych confirmed today the second leg of their North American tour dates through April 2015 with all tickets on sale Friday.
The band will kick off the first leg of their tour with a record release show on February 5, 2015 at The Echoplex (http://www.theecho.com) presented by world-renowned radio station KCRW (http://www.kcrw.com) in their hometown of Los Angeles. New tour dates include stops in Santa Cruz, Tucson, Albuquerque, El Paso, Austin, Houston, Dallas, a first-ever show in Wichita, Denver, Salt Lake City and Las Vegas. Since Dengue Fever announced the release of their latest album, The Deepest Lake (available on CD, colored vinyl and digitally on Tuesday January 27, 2015 in North America and February 2, 2015 in the rest of the world) the band has premiered a new video via Entertainment Weekly for the song “No Sudden Moves” and the LA Weekly said that “No Sudden Moves” combines an East-meets-West pop melody and Chhom’s haunting vocals with psychedelic rock, surf guitars and Afrobeat-inspired horns.”
In other news, the band and Burger Records (www.burgerrecords.com) recently teamed up to produce a new 15-song ‘best of’ audiocassette that will be available for purchase beginning on Thursday February 5 at their record release party. This is the first ever Dengue Fever cassette. Limited quantities will be available on tour and via Burger Records.

DENGUE FEVER is Cambodian songstress Chhom Nimol, Zac Holtzman (guitar/vocals), Ethan Holtzman (keyboards), Senon Williams (bass), Paul Smith (drums) and David Ralicke (horns).
