LOS ANGELES, CA (WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 4, 2015)DENGUE FEVER (www.denguefevermusic.com), the Mojo Bicycle Café (http://www.mojobicyclecafe.com) and Vietnamese eatery Rice Paper Scissors (http://www.ricepaperscissors.com) confirmed today a free meet and greet with fans from 7-9pm directly across the street from the bands San Francisco show at The Independent (http://www.theindependentsf.com) presented by KALX (http://kalx.berkeley.edu). 

Dengue Fever’s latest album, The Deepest Lake was released last week to rave reviews from NPR’s All Things Considered & Weekend Edition, Mojo and Uncut in the UK and more. To celebrate, the band heads out on their first tour in support of the album that includes a stop in San Francisco on Friday the 13th. Space is limited at the meet and greet social hour but fans are encouraged to join the band at Mojo Bicycle Café (639-A Divisidero St, directly across from The Independent) to grab a beer or wine, purchase the bands favorite Vietnamese food from Rice Paper Scissors, chat with and get their merchandise signed by the band.

Imperial Rolls

Fried rice paper rolls with pork, wood ear mushrooms and glass noodles. served with lettuce, herbs and nuoc cham.

Char Siu Pineapple Buns

A pork bun and a pineapple bun made out last night

Fresh pho noodle rolls filled with beech mushrooms, fried tofu, and Thai basil. served with nuoc cham chay

The Deepest Lake from Dengue Fever debuted at #141 on the CMJ Music Charts and have received praise for their new record for broadening their sound taking more musical chances and highlighting the voice of chanteuse Chhom Nimol. Confirmed tour dates are:

ABOUT DENGUE FEVER

DENGUE FEVER is Cambodian songstress Chhom Nimol, Zac Holtzman (guitar/vocals), Ethan Holtzman (keyboards), Senon Williams (bass), Paul Smith (drums) and David Ralicke (horns). They have released five albums, Dengue Fever, Escape From Dragon House, Venus On Earth, Cannibal Courtship, In The Ley Lines, the DVD/CD soundtrack to the band’s documentary, Sleepwalking Through The Mekong, a collection of lost Cambodian classics, Dengue Fever Presents: Electric Cambodia and in 2015 The Deepest Lake.
