COMEDY CHRISTMAS DOWNLOAD FROM DAN AND JAY COMEDY HOUR
SKETCH COMEDY GROUP DAN AND JAY’S COMEDY HOUR TO RELEASE THE SMALLEST COMEDY ALBUM IN HISTORY
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
LOS ANGELES, CA. (WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 17, 2014) — Los Angeles and Boise-based sketch group Dan and Jay’s Comedy Hour (www.DanAndJay.com) announced today that they have released their first sketch comedy album in 13 years. The holiday-themed release Ho, Christmas Tree! is available in three formats – as a free download here, as the world’s smallest record and a CD, released December 16 (goo.gl/c9fw69).
Comedy fans can purchase a physical copy – and be part of a world record – immediately. Packaged in a limited edition of 100, the 1.7cm square sleeve, Ho, Christmas Tree! is the smallest comedy album in history, packaged with a 1GB MicroSD card and packed with the album in various bit rates, as well as tons of other digital Christmas bonus material.
Founded by Jason Klamm and Dannel Gomiller in 1993, Dan and Jay’s Comedy Hour’s sketches exist in a comic universe unlike any other. Programs are sponsored by a product called “Synthetic Cheese,” recurring characters are regularly punished for coming back on the album, and the fourth wall only barely exists. Featuring guest appearances by comedy legend Philip Proctor of The Firesign Theatre and James Urbaniak of The Venture Brothers and American Splendor, Ho, Christmas Tree! will be the strangest stocking stuffer you will find this holiday season.
No strangers to ‘firsts’ Ho, Christmas Tree! may be the worlds smallest comedy record, Dan and Jay’s Comedy Hour was also responsible for one of the world’s first-ever viral videos in 2001 (bit.ly/DJCHTunak), and released their debut album, Shoestrings, that same year. They are the minds behind, and stars of, the feature film Looking Forward (JK2016.com), and they also host the eponymous Dan and Jay’s Comedy Hour The Podcast, chronicling their childhood sketches, up to today. More about the group and the album can be found at ho.stolendress.com
